Summer is a great time to learn media writing. Don’t despair. Summer school will be finished before you know it. You will actually learn more…faster…and better than your fall & spring classmates.

Buckle up. It’s going to be a fast semester.

Congratulations. You made it to the end of media writing. You learned more than you thought you would. Please don’t forget all of the details as you move through your next classes. Don’t use marshmallow words. Keep your first 8-10 words in mind because starting a story is the hardest part.

It’s that time again: the smell of new notebooks, a pack of new markers…. WAIT. We don’t do that anymore. So, it’s time for a new syllabus and new learning. I hope you’re ready. Your professional career starts today.

Well…you made it. And I’m sad that we’ll part in a week.I said you would feel like you’ve been in media writing class all of your life. I was right, wasn’t I? But, you’ve learned so much, and you’re ready for your professional journey. We have our final Writing Lollapalooza on the last day of class.

It’s hard to believe we are already at the half-way point in our semester. You probably feel like we started yesterday and 1,000 years ago, all at the same time. I warned you about this. We have our Midterm Writing Extravaganza this week, and you’ll do great. We get to see how much we’ve learned in less than two months. You’ll rock it.
